Transportation to The Farm from the Airportmap

Be sure you have a confirmed placement in the workshop before you make your plane reservations. The best way to contact us to find out if we have openings is to email us.

If you plan to fly, Nashville is the preferred airport. The Farm Midwifery Center is 65 miles from Nashville.  http://thefarmcommunity.com/directions/

You can rent a car at the airport. The Farm Community is spread out over several miles and some attendees prefer to have their own vehicle for getting around, especially if they are staying in one of the private accommodations.

There are also members of The Farm Community that offer shuttle services to and from the Nashville airport. When you register for your workshop, we can provide you with the names and contact information for shuttle drivers so you can make your own arrangements.

  • Schedule rides at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • Be prepared to give the driver your time and date of arrival, flight airline and your cell phone number.
  • Plan to have cash to pay your shuttle driver.

Your driver will meet you at the Information Desk, in the center of baggage claim.
If you are traveling with a baby, check with your driver to find out if you need to bring a car seat.

When booking flights and planning your arrival time into Nashville, keep in mind that it takes 1.5 hours to get to The Farm Community and workshop registration starts at 2:00 on Sunday.

There is approximately a 1.5 mile distance between our Community Center and the Farm Clinic where some of the classes are held. This is something to consider as you decide whether or not to rent a car.
